Recipe Ingredients

Pineapple Coconut Slushie
  • 6 cups ice
  • 3 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 430g coconut cream
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 1/2 cups dark rum (optional)
Java Banana Smoothie
  • 2 ripe bananas (preferably frozen)
  • 3/4 cup cold coffee
  • 3/4  cup milk
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup ice
Frozen Margarita
  • 4 cups ice
  • 1/2 cup each tequila and Cointreau (orange-flavoured liqueur)
  •  1/4 cup fresh lime juice (from 2 to 3 limes)

Green Light Juice

  • 4 kale leaves (stems and tough ribs removed and discarded)
  • 1 cup each coconut water
  • 1 cup seedless green grapes
  • 1cm piece fresh peeled ginger,

 Blueberry Pie Shake

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 170g blueberries
  • 4 vanilla wafer biscuit
Peach Melba Slushie
  • 3 cups ice
  • 2 cups peeled and sliced peaches
  • 170g raspberries
  • 1.4 cup agave syrup
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vodka (optional)
Beet Red Refresher
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup sliced  refridgerated cooked beets
  • 1/2 small Granny Smith apple
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
Strawberry Mania Smoothie
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juive
  • 230g low-fat strawberry yoghurt
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
Mango Margarita
  • 6 cups of ice
  • 3 ripe mangoes
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 cup white tequila
Kiwi Slushie
  1.  4 cups ice
  2. 6 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  3. 6 tbsp agave syrup
  4. 1/3 fresh mint
  5. 2 tsp fresh lime juice
  6. 1 cup light rum (optional)
Melon Rum Punch
  • 6 cups watermelon
  • 1 cup lemon sorbet
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup light rum
  • pinch of salt

Recipe Directions

Pineapple Coconut Slushie
  1. Blend 6 cups ice, 3 cups fresh pineapple chunks, 430g coconut cream, 1 cup pineapple juice, 1 tsp grated orange peel and 1 1/2 cups dark rum (optional) until smooth
Java Banana Smoothie
  1. Blend 2 ripe bananas (preferably frozen), cut up; 3/4 cup cold coffee; 3/4  cup milk; 3 tbsp brown sugar; and 1 cup ice until smooth.
Frozen Margarita
  1. Blend 4 cups ice, 1/2 cup each tequila and Cointreau (orange-flavoured liqueur) and 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (from 2 to 3 limes) until smooth.

Green Light Juice

  1. Blend 4 kale leaves (stems and tough ribs removed and discarded), 1 cup each coconut water and seedless green grapes and 1 (1cm) piece fresh peeled ginger, sliced, until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve into a large measuring cup; discard pulp.
Blueberry Pie Shake
  1. Blend 2 cups vanilla ice cream, 170g blueberries and 4 vanilla wafer biscuits until smooth.
Peach Melba Slushie
  1. Blend 3 cups ice; 2 cups peeled and sliced peaches (fresh or canned); 170g raspberries, lightly mashed; 1/4 cup agave syrup; 2 tbsp sugar; 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice; 1 tsp vanilla extract; and 1 cup vodka (optional) until smooth.
Beet Red Refresher
  1. Blend 2 cups (230g) fresh strawberries, quartered; 1 1/2 cups cold water; 1 cup sliced refrigerated cooked beets; 1/2 small Granny Smith apple, peeled and sliced; 3 tbsp lemon juice; and 1 tbsp agave syrup until smooth.
Strawberry Mania Smoothie
  1. Blend 1/4 cup cranberry juice, chilled; 230g low-fat strawberry yoghurt; and 1 cup frozen strawberries until smooth.
Mango Margarita
  1. Blend 6 cups ice; 3 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped; 3 tbsp orange juice; 2 tbsp honey; 2 tbsp lime juice; 1 tsp grated orange peel; and 1 cup white tequila (optional) until smooth.
Kiwi Slushie
  1. Blend 4 cups ice; 6 kiwis, peeled and sliced; 6 tbsp agave syrup; 1/3 cup packed fresh mint; 2 tsp fresh lime juice; and 1 cup light rum (optional) until smooth.
Melon Rum Punch
  1. Purée 6 cups watermelon, 1 cup lemon sorbet, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 cup light rum and a pinch of salt. Strain and pour into a punch bowl. Serve over ice.
