Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, deseeded and finely chopped juice of 1 lime
  • few drops of Tabasco, to taste small handful fresh coriander, chopped, plus extra to garnish
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 200g tortilla chips

Recipe Directions

  1. Halve, stone and peel the avocados. Finely chop the flesh, then add to a bowl. Stir through the onion, tomato, lime juice, Tabasco, coriander and some seasoning.
  2. Spoon mixture on to each chip. Serve.
PER CANAPÉ 222kJ, 3,5g fat (1g saturated), 3g carbohydrate (0,1g total sugars). GET AHEAD Make the avocado mixture up to 3 hours ahead but don’t add the coriander. Cover and chill. Complete recipe to serve up to 30 minutes ahead.
