Recipe Ingredients

  • 600g chicken mince
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp canola oil
  • 1 slice mature Cheddar Cheese

Recipe Directions

  1. Combine 600g chicken mince; 1/3 cup barbecue sauce; 3 spring onions, chopped; and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper.
  2. Form into four 2,5cm-thick patties. In a 30cm nonstick frying pan, heat 2 tsp canola oil on medium; add patties. Cook for 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
  3. Top each patty with 1 slice mature Cheddar cheese; remove from heat and cover frying pan to melt cheese. Serve on 4 wholewheat buns topped with thinly sliced green apple and micro-greens.
EACH SERVING About 1 990kJ, 36g protein, 35g carbohydrate, 23g fat (8g saturated), 5g fibre, 795 mg sodium.
