Benny’s Christmas dessert

Recipe Ingredients

  • 300g flour
  • 175g brown sugar
  • 200g butter, plus extra to grease

 

Filling

  • 200g fresh mango, cut into bite-size cubes
  • 150 g pineapple cubed
  • 100g cherries, stoned and cut in half
  • 80g raisins, soaked
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp flour

 

 

 

Recipe Directions

Place the flour and sugar and butter in a large glass bowl and mix well, rubbing together until the mix resembles breadcrumbs. Place the mango, pineapple, cherries and raisins in a large bowl, sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and flour over the fruit and mix well. Butter the baking tray, put the fruit mixture at the bottom of the tray and sprin- kle the crumble on top, covering the fruit. Bake at 160°C for 30 to 35 minutes until crumble is golden brown.
