Chilli Steak with Hawaiian Rice

Recipe Ingredients

  • 700g sirloin steak
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1.5 tsp grated lime peel
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 2 cups of fresh pineapple (chopped)
  • 1 cup of fresh coriander leaves
  • 3 cups of cooked white rice
  • Lime wedges (garnish)

Recipe Directions

Heat a grill on medium-high. Rub 700g sirloin steak with 2 tsp chilli powder, 1,5 tsp grated lime peel and 1/2 tsp salt. Grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until cooked as desired. Transfer to a cutting board and let it stand for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, toss 2 cups chopped fresh pineapple with 1 cup packed fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped, and 3 cups cooked white rice. Thinly slice steak and serve with rice. Garnish with lime wedges.

EACH SERVING About 2 100kJ, 42g protein, 45g carbohydrate, 19g fat (7g saturated), 2g fibre, 430mg sodium.
