Recipe Ingredients

  • 450g mince (lamb or beef)
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh coriander (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp currie powder
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 small red onion (sliced and braaied)
  • Coriander (If desired)

Recipe Directions

Mix 450g mince (lamb or beef); 1/2 cup packed fresh coriander, finely chopped; 2 cloves garlic, crushed; and 1 tsp ground coriander until just combined. Form into 4 patties (about 1cm thick); sprinkle with 1 tsp salt. Braai burgers over medium to hot coals for 8 to 10 minutes (for medium), turning once halfway through. Stir together a cup of tomato sauce and 1 tsp curry powder. Serve burgers on 4 buns, toasted, with curry tomato sauce. Garnish with 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese; 1 small red onion, sliced and braaied; and coriander, if desired.
