Yusrah’s Mom’s Malva Pudding

Recipe Ingredients

PUDDING

  • 250ml flour
  • 250ml sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 10ml bicarb
  • 1 tbsp apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 250ml milk

 

SYRUP

  • 25ml fresh cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 125ml water

 

Recipe Directions

1. Preheat oven to 175°C.

2. Mix the pudding ingredients well. Pour into a well-greased baking dish and cover with foil.

3. Bake for 45 minutes until dark brown.

4. Heat the syrup ingredients in a pot.

5. Poke holes into the baked pudding and pour syrup over the pudding.

6. Serve with ice cream or custard.
