We explain how you can master the Chelsea blow-dry

Gently curled, lush-looking hair is back in fashion, thanks to royal sweetheart Kate Middleton and sister Pippa. The key to the Chelsea blow-dry’s big bouncy hair is to have your hair cut into longer layers to get lots of movement.

DIY blow-out guide:

  1. Wash and towel-dry hair. If your hair tends to frizz, finger a little mousse through it.
  2. Divide hair into segments, then, using a large round brush, work through sections as you dry.
  3. When your hair is completely dry, wrap it around large curlers.
  4. Remember, the longer your hair stays in curlers, the better the bounce. Remove curlers and shake out the curls using your fingers. Avoid brushing, as this will make the curls collapse.
  5. Run serum or oil through the ends and finish off with hairspray.
