Support this day of design, creativity and inspiration in aid of the Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home
Shifting its focus to KwaZulu Natal, the next Home Channel Décor and Design Morning sponsored by Plascon and hosted by Edith Venter of Edith Unlimited will be held on Thursday, 28 June 2012 at the Zimbali Fairmont Resort in Durban.
The Durban edition of this prestigious event will raise money for The Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home. Situated on a stretch of KwaZulu Natal South Coast outside of Durban, the home provides a quiet retreat for underprivileged children. Since it opened its doors in 1935 to give underprivileged children much-needed holiday breaks at the beach, the home has been funded through donations, street collections and fund raising projects.
The Decor Morning will host interior designer Nthabi Taukobong, gardening and landscaping consultant Dawid Klopper and Executive Chef Dean Uren as they take the stage giving expert advice on design, food and landscaping.
“Décor is an important part of our lives. It is how we allow our personalities to come through in the spaces we live in. These mornings are a lot of fun and showcase speakers who really know their stuff. Guests will experience the beauty of the Zimbail Fairmont Resort, take home wonderful gift bags, get advice on design and decor while also making a difference by raising funds for a worthy cause,” says Edith Venter.
