Support the Isabelo (Xhosa for ‘sharing and caring’) initiative, which supplies healthy meals to hundreds of school children

Thousands of children go to school hungry every day, and four years ago Le Quartier Français decided to help Franschhoek’s children.
Margot Janse, executive chef at Le Quartier Français, with the help of a dietician created a highly nutritious muffin recipe for a small local crèche. With the help of guest, Le Quartier Français managed to deliver these muffins every Friday throughout the year. Thanks to donations from guests & friends they were able to supply healthy meals to over 50 children in two preschools, five days a week.
In addition Isabelo has supported the local Breakfast Club and has helped supply 150 000 balanced breakfasts to Franschhoek school children in 2012. This year they’ll supply meals to 120 children every day. If you’d like to help them fill little tummies, click here for more information.
