- Physical training – special neck and shoulder exercises.
- Relaxation therapy – muscle-releasing, breathing and stress-coping techniques. Many hospitals have programs that teach both physical training and relaxation therapies.
- Acupuncture – in this study, patients had weekly sessions for 10 to 12 weeks.
