It turns out that eating six mini-meals a day instead of the usual three may not help waist-watchers feel any fuller, a study at Purdue University in the US found. What made a difference: the amount of protein in the meals.
Dieters who ate more protein (25% of total kilojoules) felt fuller all day and had fewer food-related thoughts and late-night cravings than those eating less protein (14% of total kilojoules).
