Ginger’s Slimming Secrets

Ginger not only spices up curries and helps ease motion sickness, it can also help you burn more kilojoules. By Anita Bean

Switching your usual morning cup of tea or coffee for a warming ginger tea could help you burn (a few) more kilojoules, as well as quash cravings for fattening foods later in the day, say US scientists. To make it, stir ½ teaspoon (2g) of ginger powder into a cup of hot water until dissolved.
