Three ways to support a friend with cancer

Don’t just offer help, give it even though she didn’t ask for it
  • Fetch and carry children to after- school activities; drive your friend to doctors’ appointments; do the ironing.
  • Keep the incentives coming. Keep your friend included by inviting her to shows, dinners and events. Let her know someone else can take up her ticket or place if she doesn’t feel up to attending on the day.
  • Want to drop off a meal? Make sure it’s in a disposable container so your friend doesn’t need to return the dish.
