Wave goodbye to flabby arms

If you are looking to fight flabby arms, then these four workouts are perfect for you

Summer clothing is the most revealing, and so everyone wants to look their best. But most of us are ashamed of our weak, flabby arms and hide them under long-sleeved tops. Luckily, getting rid of flabby arms is not impossible – all you need is a little determination and a few minutes a week. Soon you’ll be proud to show off those strong, firm arms!

 

 

Four exercises that’ll help you get rid of those flabby arms:

 

1. Lift weights

Use two 2kg or 4kg hand weights to begin decreasing flab and strengthen your upper arms. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart holding a weight in each hand. Let your arms hang straight down, palms facing back. Lift your arms straight back as far as you can and return to starting position. Repeat about 15 times.

 

2. Do push ups

Lie face-down on the floor with your hands on either side of your shoulders. Slowly lift your body from the floor so that your legs, tummy and shoulders are raised, while your hands and feet remain on the floor. Now, slowly lower your body to the floor – without dropping – and repeat about 12 times.

 

3. Do arm circles

Extend your arms out to the sides so they’re parallel to the ground. Start making small circle movements with your arms. After a minute or so, change direction. (If you’re up to it, do these while holding a 1,5kg or 2kg weight in each hand.)

 

4. Do the French Press

This is a relatively easy tricep exercise. Start by laying on your back, holding a dumbbell in each hand. Stretch your arms out, straight up into the air.  (The dumbbells should almost be touching one another.) Slowly bend your elbows, lowering the dumbbells backwards down until they’re next to your ears. Raise your arms, lifting the dumbbells back to the starting position.
