COOKING WITH AVOCADO OIL

Mild in flavour, avocado oil is a healthier cooking option. When some oils are heated to high temperatures, the good fats can be transformed into harmful trans fats. But because of avocado oil’s high smoke point (250oC, which is higher than most cooking oils), it’s safe to use for frying.

 

STORING AVOCADO OIL

Like any natural product, avocado oil can be damaged by exposure to oxygen and bright light which destroys nutrients and can affect the flavour. Keep in a cool, dark place like a cupboard (not the fridge), out of direct sunlight.
