1. Buckets of Love
This year, the Buckets of Love campaign hopes to reach 32 000 individuals with its festive food parcels. Each bucket costs R130 and contains 13 basic food items, enough to feed a family of four. To donate online, click here.
Over three million South African children do not have the privilege of being taught in a formal classroom setting or sitting at a desk. DeskBags offers a portable desk solution and a good-looking schoolbag that’s made to last. You can pledge a DeskBag to a child in need for just R150.
3. FoodBank South Africa
Give more this Christmas by purchasing a Foodbank South Africa gift voucher, and you can make a positive difference to help end hunger in South Africa. Vouchers start at R50 (for 30 meals). Visit www.foodbank.org.za for more information and to make your contribution.

. Grandmothers Against Poverty and Aids
Grandmothers Against Poverty and Aids (GAPA) is an organisation based in Khayelitsha in the Western Cape that cares for grandmothers who have been left to care for their Aids-orphaned grandchildren. GAPA provides them with support, skills and funding for education. A R200 monthly donation can sponsor a child at preschool and ease the burden of these remarkable grandmothers. Visit www.gapa.org.za.
