DIY giftwrapping ideas for Mother’s Day

Add a personal touch to your Mother’s Day gift. These clever DIY giftwrapping ideas are sure to impress

Do it with doilies

All you need is brown paper, some ribbon and a few doilies in different shapes and sizes.

You can use pretty giftwrapping paper too, but we love the earthy contrast of the white against the brown.

Beautiful in blackboard paint

Use a roller brush to paint brown paper with blackboard paint. Let it dry properly before wrapping your gifts. Finish it off with colourful ribbon or twine, and use chalk to write a personal message.

Pretty practical

We absolutely love this idea, and so will your mom! If she’s not a big fan of cooking or baking, adapt this idea to whatever her hobby is. Stock a beautiful gift box with scrapbooking material, fill a watering can with gardening tools, or pop a book voucher into a pretty reading-glasses case.

Jars of joy

Glass jars are so versatile. You can literally put anything in them – baked treats, cake mix, home-made soup, bath salts, a sewing kit … you name it. Plus, your mom can reuse the jar afterwards.
