Johannesburg: The Blanket Music Marathon

The Songwriters Attic is teaming up with the dynamic team of Rockford Media to debut this creative initiative. Now you can have some fun family time together while doing good.

‘Winter is upon us, and we all know there are those who don’t have the luxury and security of a home. We need you to do your bit to keep the less fortunate warm. We will take dog blankets, baby blankets and clean used blankets, and distribute them to our four-legged friends – as well as our two-legged ones,’ says co-organiser Claudia Cox.

Their goal is to collect 200 blankets and to keep the music going for as long as possible. Audiences can look forward to a line-up of diverse local entertainment. The restaurant will also be putting together a special lunch menu for the day.
