Tonteldoos Valley

Twenty-five kilometres northeast of Dullstroom in Mpumalanga and less than a three-hour drive from Johannesburg is Tonteldoos Valley, a landscape of farmlands dotted with trees, mixed with indigenous flora and fauna, trout dams and smallholdings. There’s an eight-sleeper, a four-sleeper and a honeymoon cabin. Go fly-fishing, mountain biking, hiking and horse riding, and walk the koppies. Indigenous trees are each marked with a number. The area also has more than 25 different species of birds, including the brown-hooded kingfisher.
