3 things you should never store in your bathroom

Make sure you’re not making these mistakes

By Good Housekeeping

Medicine

It might be called a medicine cabinet, but your bathroom is the worst place to store your medicine. It should really be kept far away from environments where the temperature fluctuates and where it can be exposed to moisture. Store your prescriptions at room temperature and read the label for any further instructions.

Towels

Your bathroom cupboard is dark and moist, which makes it the ideal place for mould to grow and flourish. Since it’s almost impossible to prevent mould and mildew from growing in your bathroom, it’s best not to store your towels (which are susceptible to mould growth) there.

Makeup

Most women tend to apply their makeup in the bathroom, so it makes sense to keep it there for convenience. However, the bacteria and fungi that can grow in your cosmetics thrive in moist environments, and being exposed to the moist air can affect the longevity and effectiveness of products. It is recommended that you store your cosmetics in a cool and dry place.
