5 unusual places to apply perfume

Apply your perfume in these 5 unexpected places to make it last all day

By Good Housekeeping

Fragrance

Smell is the most nostalgic sense of all, and perfume, like any other accessory, can make you feel beautiful. It turns out that there are areas on your body that you should be spritzing and they might not be where you expect. Here are 5 hot spots to spray your perfume to ensure it lasts all day.

1. In your Hair

The strands of your hair hold on to fragrance really well, and will leave a trail of scent as you move. Be careful when applying it, though, as alcohol can dry your hair out. Spritz it on your brush to disperse it evenly.

2. Along your Collarbone

Maximise the intensity of perfume by applying it along your collarbone. It will settle nicely in the dip and it’s an especially great place when you’re wearing a halter neck or strappy clothes.

3. Behind the Knees

The backs of your knees are warm and soft, and when you cross and uncross your legs, the scent will travel up your body and last throughout the day.

 4. Inside the elbows

Another great place to apply perfume for a longer-lasting scent is the insides of the elbows. A great tip when applying perfume is to make sure your skin is moisturised, as the more moisturised and hydrated your skin is, the longer the scent will last.

 5. Top of the Ears

Most people apply perfume behind the ears, but next time apply some on top of them as well, as the skin there doesn’t dry out.
