Crockery Tips

Useful tips to help make life in the kitchen a breeze!

Store without Stress

  • Stash glassware right-side up. Placing it upside down puts pressure on delicate rims and traps odour-causing moisture inside.
  • Stack plates and bowls, not mugs or glasses.

Blitz Problem Stains

Try bicarb. Mix it into a paste with a little water to:

  • Remove stains from cups;
  • Erase metal marks made by cutlery on plates;
  • Banish odours from plastics.

Send Spots Packing

  • Nestle dishwasher-safe glasses between the rack spokes – not over them – to help eliminate spotting and breakage.
  • Air-dry hand-washed glassware on a dishcloth to protect rims from chipping.

Clean your silverware by…

…yes, putting it in the dishwasher – but never in the same basket with stainless-steel cutlery. If the metals touch, the silver can be irreparably pitted.
