GH’s Three Tried, Tested and Trusted CC Creams

First there were BB creams and now we also have CC creams. We explain the difference and rate three CC creams

There’s really not that big a difference:

CC stands for ‘colour correcting’ or ‘complexion corrector’; these creams improve skin tone, brightening dull and sallow skin. They focus on age-defying and antiwrinkle properties, but also have the properties of a BB (beauty balm) cream – SPF protection, primer and moisturiser.

We tried and tested 3 CC creams:

Chanel CC Cream Complete Correction SPF 30/PA+++

‘I’m always in a rush in the morning, so a product that protects, moisturises and evens out skin tone is a bonus.’ – Tester 1

Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30

‘The thick formula means a little goes a long way. It covered my blotchy areas for almost the whole day!’ – Tester 2

Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Complexion Corrector SPF 35

‘I have oily skin and this gave me a natural and flawless complexion without me having to add powder.’ – Tester 3
