Dermalogica & joinFITE team up for Mandela Day

Dermalogica & joinFITE call on the global community to give back on Mandela Day by helping to direct microloans in order to empower women entrepreneurs

On July 18, 2012, Dermalogica and joinFITE will join the Mandela Day challenge, in homage to Nelson Mandela and the 67 years he has dedicated to advocating for human rights.  The Mandela Day challenge calls on individuals everywhere to take time on July 18 to do their part in creating change for another.

joinFITE is asking individuals across the world to give back and be a change-maker by helping to direct 670 microloans. There is no cost to the individuals, but rather they are asked to visit joinFITE.org to direct a loan funded by Dermalogica.  After viewing the profile of what the entrepreneur will use her loan for, they are able to choose the individual woman whom they would like to empower.  Founded in 2011, joinFITE has already helped fund more than 14,000 microloans for women in over 60 countries around the world, with the goal of directing more loans on July 18, 2012.

 

“Mandela Day is a call to action for people everywhere to take responsibility for changing the world and making it a better place, one small step at a time, just as Mr. Mandela has,” said Jane Wurwand, founder of Dermalogica and joinFITE.
