The past two months have been busy for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. With Harry and Meghan transitioning out of their positions as senior members of the royal family, and Prince Andrew stepping back from his public duties in the wake of his association with Jeffrey Epstein, Will and Kate have been picking up the slack in terms of engagements.

But their schedule slowed down last week. According to People, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s school was on half-term break in mid-February, and so Will and Kate cleared their calendars and prioritised a little family time. On the agenda: a trip to see some baby lambs.

Over the weekend, William, who serves as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, visited the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to speak with injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Charity Trust and to attend a match. Ahead of the competition between Wales and France, he chatted with former player Rhian Roberts, revealing that the whole Cambridge family had recently gone ‘lambing.’

‘We’ve been lambing with the children this week,’ he said, after she mentioned that members of her family are dairy farmers. ‘Charlotte wasn’t sure at first but George was straight in there. Louie loves the tractors.’

He also noted that the kids ‘love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs.’

‘They love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs. Dairy farming–you are all seriously tough.’

According to the Evening Standard, Roberts described Prince William as ‘down to earth’ after their meeting.

‘He said they’ve been lambing this week up in Norfolk. They want the children to see the country way of life as well as the city way of life.’
