The Duchess of Cambridge has opened up about how she felt having her photo taken just hours after giving birth to Prince George.
Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate said she was terrified about stepping outside for a photocall after having her first child.
In 2013, just hours after giving birth, the Duchess stood outside the Lindo Wing with her husband Prince William and their newborn Prince George in front of the world’s cameras.

‘(It was) yeah, slightly terrifying, slightly terrifying, I’m not going to lie,’ Kate told podcast host Giovanna Fletcher.
She added: ‘Everyone had been so supportive, and both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about and, you know, we’re hugely grateful for the support that the public has shown us, and actually for us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt was really important.’
‘But equally it was coupled with a newborn baby, and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty of what that held, so there were all sorts of mixed emotions,’ Kate said.

The Duchess revealed she stayed in the hospital overnight with Prince George but was eager to get home and enjoy time with her newborn.
