The royal couple have had a busy day three of their tour to Pakistan. Upon arrival in Chitral in the Hindu Khush region, Kate was presented with a traditional Chitrali hat, drawing comparisons to Princess Diana, who visited the region and wore the same thing in 1991.

Kate was also given a colourful embroidered jacket while William was given a long white coat.

The royals were also presented with a book of pictures of Prince William’s late mother Diana from when she visited the area on her solo trip.

Later in the day while visiting a settlement of the Kalash people, Kate wore a different, more colour headpiece while enjoying a warm welcome with lots of dancing.

The couple’s visit to the mountainous region of Northern Pakistan highlighted the effects of global warming on the planet, and on the communities who are being directly impacted.
