Knitting is back in fashion thanks to MeAMama, the makers of some pretty fashionable maternity wear. They launched a charity drive on Monday 14th May to knit 1 000 blankets for orphaned babies.
They’ve had 8 000 gorgeous balls of wall and 400 needles donated by Elle Yarns and the lovely people at Knead hosted four Mad Knitters Tea Parties to launch Knit-a-row-and-go.
Please join them and knit as much as you can, then simply leave your work in the tubtrugs for the next person to pick up – it’s a sort of knitting relay.
You can knit any time throughout May and June at the “Me and You” shop @ 103 Sir Lowry Rd, Woodstock AND in all Knead bakeries in Cape Town.
