These industrial-chic candlesticks are easy to assemble and make a striking sculptural statement.
To DIY: hit a hardware store for a 1½-inch union ball joint and four hex bushings (1½” by 1¼”,1¼” by 1″, 1″ by ¾” and ¾” by ½”).
(To make things easier, take this magazine with you to the store and show an assistant the picture of the end result.) Screw the threaded end of the 1½” bushing into one end of the union, then screw the bushings together, largest to smallest.
For a less ‘hard-core’ look, spraypaint your creation in a pretty pastel colour of your choice.
