Meghan Markle turned 38 last week and she celebrated in style. Having received a plethora of birthday wishes from members of the royal family on social media, Meghan celebrated her special day at home with a ‘family day,’ a source told BAZAAR.com. Fans hoping to see a photo of Duchess Meghan on her birthday were sadly disappointed, but her gorgeous birthday cake has finally been revealed.
Royal correspondent Omid Scobie shared a photo of Meghan’s cake on Twitter and wrote, ‘Thanks so much to Alice Williams and the awesome team at @LuminaryBakery in London for letting us join them last weekend as they created Duchess Meghan’s beautiful carrot birthday cake.’ Unsurprisingly, the cake looked absolutely scrumptious.
.@LuminaryBakery’s dedication to helping women from disadvantaged backgrounds get their lives back on track is impressive. And the social enterprise (one of Meghan’s #ForcesForChange) is growing fast — they announced a cookbook today and have a second location opening soon!

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, included Luminary Bakery in British Vogue’s September 2019 issue, which she guest-edited. The royal highlighted the organisation as one of her ‘Forces for Change.’
Reporting on the Luminary Bakery, which created the duchess’s celebratory cake, Good Morning America wrote, ‘She was impressed at how the bakery, which describes itself as a social enterprise, teaches women who are homeless, have been in the prison system, are victims of domestic violence, or in the sex trade, how to bake—and find employment.
And judging by how beautiful Meghan’s birthday cake is, the bakery is sure to be inundated with orders.
