Meghan Markle wore ethical jewellery on International Women’s Day.
At the end of last week, the Duchess of Sussex made what is thought to be her last solo engagement as a senior royal.
Meghan paid a surprise visit to a school in east London in honour of International Women’s Day.
For the occasion, the Duchess looked smart and stylish in black tailored trousers, a fringed cream blazer and simple cream and black heels. But it was Meghan’s accessories on the day that really caught our eye.
The Duchess wore a stunning gold necklace from ethical British brand Edge of Ember.
The brand revealed on Instagram Stories that Meghan had worn the Kismet Charm Necklace for her school visit.

The necklace, which is inspired by vintage coins found in Asia, features a four leaf clover and the number 7 – both of which are thought to carry good fortune.
Available in two chain lengths, the square pendant necklace costs £125 (Roughly R2 580).
It’s not the first time Meghan has worn Edge of Ember, which prides itself on bringing customers luxury jewellery while ensuring its production line is ethical and it’s offering customers the chance to recycle their unwanted jewels.
The Duchess also wore a pair of the brand’s earrings at an engagement last week.
During a visit to the National Theatre, of which she is Royal Patron, Meghan wore the simple £65 (R1 340) wave earrings.
