The Ndlovu Youth Choir may not have won season 14 of America’s Got Talent, but they are still South Africa’s champions!
The incredible local choir, originally from Limpopo, failed to make the top five but captivated audiences with their performance of Toto’s Africa in Tuesday’s part one of the finale. Judge Simon Cowell said it was ‘the best final I have ever sat in on in my life’.
During Wednesday night’s announcement show they also performed alongside international DJ Kygo to reprise their popular cover of Higher Love.
The choir made history as the first African act to reach the finals of the talent show, and have had crowds dancing to their original takes on popular songs from Waka Waka by Shakira to Beautiful Day by U2.
