So if you’ve been obsessively tracking the moves/schedules of all of the main royal family members in an effort to figure out Meghan Markle’s due date (and no judgment!), then you’ll know that Prince William is currently in New Zealand.
William is overseas right now to honour the victims of the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack. New Zealand is part of the British Commonwealth, so technically Queen Elizabeth is also the monarch there, and William is going on her behalf.
According to Town and Country, while doing a walkabout during his visit William was asked, “Any sign of the royal baby?” His response: “I haven’t got my phone on me, I have no idea. You guys will find out before I do at this rate.”
Um, I’m sorry — his brother might have his first child at any moment and William doesn’t have his phone on him?!?! What!?
And totally speculating here, but it’s possible that William doesn’t have his phone on him because he has a few aides with him who all do have phones and will be notified as soon as there’s anything to be notified about. It’s also possible that Meghan isn’t due until early May so Will is playing it cool, or perhaps he’s just joking around, ’cause it’s not like he’s going to let any top-secret intel slip.
