Princess Beatrice and her businessman/property-tycoon partner Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are engaged!
The couple made the announcement on social media today, with the official royal Instagram account and Beatrice’s father, the Duke of York, posting sweet images of the couple, taken by Beatrice’s sister, Eugenie.
One of the pictures shows the beautiful ring, designed by Edoardo in collaboration with British jewellery designer Shaun Leane.

The happy news was also shared on Princess Eugenie’s account. In a sweet and slightly more personal message, Eugenie called the couple by their nicknames ‘Beabea’ and ‘Edo’, saying, ‘It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.’
Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York, also took to Twitter to share her excitement.

According to the official announcement, the couple got engaged in Italy earlier this month, and plan to have their wedding sometime in 2020.
‘We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married,’ said the couple in a joint statement.
The private couple are believed to have started dating in 2018, but have been family friends for years.
