6 easy steps to make your own refurbished-ladder flower arrangement
1. If you’re using an old ladder or perhaps a rough new one, it will be in need of a good sanding. Sanding is important to get rid of any existing paint, sealant or roughness before applying the Woodoc Colours Buttermilk and Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR in Clear Matt. A small hand sander can also be used, and if the wood is very rough, opt for a minimum of 80-grit sandpaper and smooth afterwards with 100-grit sandpaper.
2. Mix the 20ml of Woodoc Colours Buttermilk into the 1-litre container of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR in Clear Matt.
3. Use the paintbrush to apply the first coat lightly and leave to dry for an hour or two. (Warmer conditions will decrease drying time.)
4. Sand lightly with sandpaper and remove any dust with a dry cloth or rag.
5. Apply the second and third coats, leaving equal drying time in between to darken the tone of the object. Sand lightly with sandpaper and remove any dust with a dry cloth or rag between each coat.
6. Style the ladder with plants and pretty paraphernalia to brighten a space in your home.
