13 steps to make your own wooden bath caddy

1. Sand the corners and edges of the three long pieces of pine wood with the 80-grit sandpaper.

2. Apply the wood glue to the three long pieces of wood.

3. Clamp the pieces of wood together and leave to dry.

4. Use the measuring tape to measure and mark the positioning of the hole for the first votive candle.

5. Drill the hole using the cordless drill and the 40mm sink bit.

6. Mark and measure the positioning of the hole for the second candle and drill the second hole.

7. Repeat to make a third hole for the third candle.

8. Position the short pieces of wood a few centimetres from each end of the caddy, depending on the width of the bath.

9. Drill holes at each end of the short pieces of wood and attach them to the caddy with the wood screws.

10. Shake the Woodoc Colours in Mulberry well and mix it into the Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Sealer in Matt/Clear. Stir well and paint the wood with one light coat using the paintbrush and leave it to dry thoroughly. Warmer conditions will decrease drying time.

11. Paint the second and third coats, leaving enough drying time in between to darken the tone of the Woodoc Colours in Mulberry, and sand lightly between the coats.

12. Insert your votive candles into the three holes.

13. Lie back and relax!
