What’s good about it?
Turmeric contains a bioactive component called curcumin, which is an antioxidant that also has anti-inflammatory properties. This means it can help to reduce redness, diminish the appearance of scars and pigmentation, and revive skin and give it a healthy glow. It is also trusted by many to ease dermatological conditions such as psoriasis and acne. In other words, it’s the perfect all-rounder!

How to use it
Turmeric doesn’t have to be ingested to be effective. One of the most common ways that people use this spice in their skincare routine is to apply it topically by making a face mask.
Turmeric face mask
Mix together two tablespoons of flour or ground oats, one teaspoon of turmeric, three tablespoons of milk and a few drops of honey. Apply to the face and rinse off after 20 minutes.
This budget alternative to a salon facial can give results that are just as good, if not better. As they say, nature knows best!
