Using an ice cube on your face might sound strange, but ice facials are trusted by many industry professionals. The reason for this is that ice cubes can reduce redness and swelling and minimise the appearance of pores, while also sculpting and contouring the face. And while ice cubes are great when made from regular H2O, adding some extra ingredients to water before freezing the cubes can make an even more noticeable difference to your complexion.

Top tip Rather than rubbing a cold ice cube directly on your skin, wrap it in a piece of cotton to create a barrier for both safety and comfort.
1. Ice cubes with a few drops of rosehip oil, which is rich in vitamin C, are great for giving you a wide-awake glow.
2. Ice cubes with camomile tea are great for making tired eyes look less puffy. Wrap ice cubes in gauze and then use them to massage from the inner corners up towards the brow bone. This will help with drainage and swelling, helping to make your eye area look more youthful.
3. Ice cubes that are made with water with an aspirin dissolved in it can help to calm angry breakouts and dry out pimples for a blemish-free face.
4. Using an ice cube to massage your skin after applying serum can help the ingredients to work better, as the capillaries restrict and pull inwards, which helps your product penetrate deeper into the skin.
