An easy way to make yourself appear more youthful is to make some adjustments to your hairdo. Pulling it back tightly into a bun or ponytail might look chic, but it can also be severe. A trick that stars like Victoria Beckham and Meghan Markle (or at least their hairstylists!) do is to have tendrils – or two loose pieces of hair – grazing their cheekbones.

This genius hair hack works in a similar way that wearing clothing with an empire line can seemingly make the body look slimmer: it’s all about creating an illusion. This look, however, won’t be as effective if you don’t have the right haircut. Next time you are at the salon, ask your hairstylist to cut a few layers into your hair so that two naturally fall down to your cheekbones when tying up your hair. This will frame your features while also softening your jawline and making you look more relaxed.
