This is the best manicure colour to make your hands look younger

It’s a classic!

Our hands are, unfortunately, one of the first places on our bodies to give away our age. This is because they are always exposed to the elements and we tend to neglect them, forgetting to apply sunscreen and lotion regularly. They also work hard for us, so it makes sense that they would look a bit ‘tired’. But did you know that making them look younger could be as easy as getting a manicure?

The best anti-ageing colour for our nails is actually one that many of us wear often. It’s fail-safe and classic, and goes with just about any outfit or occasion. This shade is the ever-so-popular red. This is because bright red has the magical ability to draw attention away from imperfections, such as blemishes and dark spots, and draw all eyes towards a fabulous mani.

Sadly, not ALL reds will have this effect. The best ones to go for are ones with an orange base, as reds with a pink or blue base can make veins and age spots appear more prominent. Shades on the orange end of the spectrum are more universally flattering and suit people regardless of their complexion. But don’t worry, because there’s an orangey-red shade out there for everyone!
